Terms of Engagement

This page tells you information about us and the legal terms and conditions on which we book At Home, Bridal, Corporate Events and Editorial appointments (Appointments) and sell any vouchers (Vouchers) listed on our website (Terms). These Terms will apply to any contract between us for the sale of Appointments or Vouchers.

We may amend these terms from time to time.

Statement of Principles

Below is a statement of principles, which act as good practice guidance for the Therapists who work with us. They aim to maintain and promote high standards of professional treatment and behavior.

The Therapists agree that it is in the best interests of their Clients to:

  • Ensure that all appointments are kept at the appointed time.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with a Client including before, during and after treatments.
  • Respect Client confidentiality and only use the personal information given for the specific purpose for which it is given, namely to ensure a safe and effective treatment.
  • Be appropriately dressed at all times when dealing with a Client.
  • Refuse to treat or offer to treat any Client for a condition, which to their knowledge, is at the time under the care of a medical practitioner without the knowledge and consent of that Practitioner.
  • Ensure that the treatment offered to the Client is in accordance with the list of treatments offered by InParlour® which can be found on this website.
  • Work towards the Clients’ best interests at all times to ensure that the comfort and welfare of the Client is a priority.
  • Not deliberately mislead for their own gain a Client seeking advice or treatment.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the Client at all times.
  • Ensure that in conducting therapeutic treatments, medical diagnoses are not made unless the individual holds the appropriate qualifications covering such diagnoses.
  • Ensure that all products and equipment are of professional quality and that all reasonable care is taken to ensure the safety of all equipment used.
  • Keep all equipment sterile, clean and regularly maintained and to wear surgical type gloves when appropriate during treatments.
  • To act with
discretion and professionalism at all times.
  • Have a right to refuse to give a treatment providing a refusal is communicated in a professional manner.
  • Not to solicit any gratuity from a Client.
  • Respect the religious, spiritual, political and social views of Clients.
  • To work within the limits of their qualification and competence.

Mutual Respect

As a client we trust that you will treat our Therapists with the same respect that they will you. If the service performed by the Therapist at your appointment is not to a reasonable standard or the Therapist engages in any unacceptable behavior please let us know as soon as possible so that we can discuss the issue and take appropriate steps to remedy the situation.

At Home Appointments

Fees

Please refer to our Treatment List on the website. Prices may be subject to change but will always be confirmed to you at the time of booking. Additional waiting time will be charged on all appointments (over 15 minutes at £1 per minute).

Travel

Extra charges will apply to our fees for overnight stays and for travel outside the London (Zone 1) area.

For travel outside Zone 1 (London) mileage will be charged to the client and petrol used will be calculated per mile at current market prices.

The client shall also be charged for travel time to and from the appointment at £10 per hour.

Expenses

VAT @ 20% is added to all our services.

A 2.6% handling service fee will be added to the clients account for payments made by credit card.

Parking in central London and Congestion Charge will be added to the clients account.

Payment

It is our policy that payment for your appointment is paid prior to your appointment. Therapists do not accept cash/cheques after the appointment. Please complete and return the credit card authorization form sent with your booking confirmation email prior to your appointment. Alternatively, we take payments using all major debit and credit cards over the telephone to our booking line on 0203 713 9365. A copy of your receipt will be sent to you via email.

Cancellation Fees

If you wish to cancel your appointment we require a minimum of 24 hours notice. Any cancellation within 24 hours of the appointment time will incur a charge of 100% of the appointment fee. If you wish to make a change to your booking we require a minimum of 24 hours notice.

At Home Gift Vouchers are ideal gifts for loved ones and special occasions. Please contact us by phone on 0203 713 9365 or email on info@inparlour.co.uk to discuss purchasing.

At Home Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase.

Bridal

Fees

We encourage you to have a Bridal Trial appointment 2-3 months before your wedding so that we can discuss and trial what look(s) you would like for the big day! Please contact us by phone on 0203 713 9365 or email on info@inparlour.co.uk to book this trial appointment. We will then provide you with a written fee quotation for the bridal trial appointment and a full written fee quotation (Fee) for our services related to the wedding date.

Extra charges will apply for travel outside of London. Flights, transfers, taxis, car hire and petrol fall within this category. Petrol used will be calculated per mile at current market prices. The client shall also be charged for travel time to and from the appointment at £10 per hour.

You will be required to provide suitable accommodation for the team when travelling within the UK or abroad. If your wedding is abroad and requires our team to fly please ensure that you have factored into the appointment arrangements enough travel time to deal with any unforeseen delays. We cannot be held responsible for any delays that may occur that are outside of our control.

Expenses

Parking in central London and Congestion Charge will be added to your account.

Subsistence (excluding alcohol) will be charged to your account on all trips where team members are staying away from home. Per diems can also be arranged.

Payment

Upon approval and confirmation by you of the quotation, payment of cleared funds of 25% of the Fee is required in advance to secure our services.

Our Fee may change if additional services are required but any alteration to the quotation will be agreed with you and time permitting confirmed in writing to you. Any additional requirements that are required on the day will be charged separately.

In respect of any sums which are overdue to us we will charge interest on a daily basis calculated at 4% per day above the prevailing base rate of the Bank of England.

Cancellation Fees

In the unlikely event that the wedding is cancelled or you decide you no longer need our services we operate the following cancellation policy according to how much notice is given. 'Working Days' refer to the normal working week of Monday to Friday and excludes weekends and Public Holidays.

  • More than 10 working days before the start of our services: No charge
  • Between 5 and 10 days working days before the start of our services: 50% of Fee
  • 5 working days before the start of our services: 100% of Fee

Corporate Events

Please contact us by phone on 0203 713 9365 or email us on info@inparlour.co.uk to discuss your requirements. We will then provide you with a full written fee quotation for our services (Fee).

Travel & Accommodation

Extra charges will apply to our Fee for overnight stays and for travel outside the London (Zone 1) area.

For travel outside Zone 1 (London) mileage will be charged and petrol used will be calculated per mile at current market prices. You shall be charged for travel time to and from the appointment at £10 per hour.

You will be required to provide suitable accommodation for the team when travelling within the UK or abroad.
